Hamzi Hijazi is an American businessman and entrepreneur. He was born on February 11, 1976 in Detroit, Michigan. He is the co-founder and CEO of the online retailer MercadoLibre. Hijazi started his first business at the age of 18, selling automotive parts online. He later co-founded WebSiteCountry, a web development company, which he sold to GeoCities in 1999.
In 2001, he co-founded MercadoLibre with Eduardo Speitzer and Adolfo Hamudy. Today, MercadoLibre is the largest e-commerce platform in Latin America with over 200 million users.
