Hawley Anne Hilton is part of the Hilton Family, one of the richest families in the US. Her parents were William Barron Hilton and Marilyn Hawley. She is the granddaughter of Conrad N. Hilton, the founder of Hilton Hotels. Hawley married John McAuliffe, with whom she has two children, Hilton John, and Justin Hawley McAuliffe.

Hawley has seven siblings; William Baron Hilton Jr, Steven Michael, David Alan, Sharon Constance, Richard Howard, Daniel Kevin, and Ronald Jeffrey Hilton.

Education

Hawley Anne Hilton is an educated woman; after high school, she joined Woodbury College, and she probably studied hospitality management, given her family’s venture into the hospitality industry. She also attended the University of California, Los Angeles, and studied philanthropy at New York University.

Career, Philanthropic Work, and Other Interests

Hawley Anne Hilton is a philanthropist and a community-based volunteer, things she has done for most of her life. She joined her grandfather’s foundation in 2006 as a board director, but she was previously engaged in community activities helping disadvantaged families as much as possible.

In 2020, Hawley Anne took over the position of the chair of the board in her grandfather’s foundation after her brother Steve Hilton, a position she still holds to date. She has served on several committees within the foundation, including the Board Executive Committee, Nominating Committee, and the Prize committee.

Hawley Anne Hilton has also worked with some organizations, including New York Lying-In Hospital, Irvington House, TheatreWorks of USA, and Archdiocese of New York. She has a passion for horticulture and has served in horticulture-related clubs, including the Grass River Garden Club based in Delray Beach and Hortulus in Greenwich.

Hawley is also involved in church activities; she often organizes outreach programs to feed and comfort the hungry. She also served as a minister at St. Roch’s Church and Parsonage Cottage.

Her Father

Hawley’s father was a philanthropist, sportsman, and businessman. He followed in his father’s footsteps as he took a role in the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, serving as the chairman emeritus after his father’s death. William started as a businessman before entering the hospitality industry.

Hawley’s father founded and co-founded some companies, including Air Finance Corporation and MacDonald Oil Company. As a sportsman, William Barron owned Los Angeles Chargers, and while serving as the president of the America Football League, he worked with the NFL to create the Super Bowl.

In 1966, Hawley’s father succeeded Conrad as the chief executive officer and president of Hilton Hotels Corporation. While in the topmost positions in the corporation, he helped expand his father’s hotel business to other areas, including Las Vegas. Hawley’s father was also involved in the aviation industry; he was a licensed pilot after going for several lessons. William Barron died in 2019 of old age, aged 91.

Hawley Anne Hilton has not stopped doing philanthropy; she currently helps disadvantaged people. She is also still serving as the fifth board chair in her grandfather’s foundation and spending time with her loved ones, including her grandchildren.
