Stevenson had no part in the making of Snowfall. I believe the series decided to dedicate episode 4 of season 5, titled “The Get Back”, to Curtis “Bang” Stevenson due to the relevance of gun violence. Stevenson was shot multiple times on May 14, 2020, in Glendale, Maryland. He was transported to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries two days later. Although Snowfall is violent, I believe the series wanted to make a point to spread awareness on the issue of gun violence with the tribute to Stevenson.
