Meet Actor Brad Dourif’s Brother: Christiane Dourif Friedman

Christiane-Dourif-Friedman

Christiane Dourif Friedman is the brother of American actor Brad Dourif. His parents are Joan Marvis Felton and Jean Henri. He has three biological and two half-siblings from the maternal side: Diana Cole, Brad, and  Patricia are biological, while Colin Cammack and Victoria Campbell Collins are his half-siblings.

Despite Christiane’s brother enjoying a lot of publicity, Christiane has managed to stay off the limelight, and so little about him is known. In his career, he did not follow in the footsteps of his brother and mother, though details of what he does to earn a living have not been revealed.

His Early Life and Personal Life

Christiane Dourif’s father, an art collector and owner of a dye factory died in 1953. Then his mother married William Cammack Campbell, a golfer, who helped him raise Christiane and his siblings.

Christiane has kept details about his personal life. But he is probably married and has kids, even grandchildren. In 2013, upon the death of his step-father Bill Campbell, Bill had 16 grandchildren, and his children must be part of that number.

His Brother

Brad Dourif took after his mother, Jean; he started participating in school productions. While in college, Christiane’s brother was involved in several plays, including The Doctor in Spite of Himself, When You Comin’ Back, Red Ryder?, and The Ghost Sonata. Brad was spotted while featuring in one of the plays by Milos Forman, who later cast him in the film One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest as Billy Bibbit.

For Brad’s performance in his film debut, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, he was nominated for Oscar Awards, winning a BAFTA Award and a Golden Globe Award. Christiane’s brother’s other film credits include Eyes of Laura Mars, Heaven’s Gate, Fatal Beauty, Graveyard Shift, Murder in the First, Progeny, Soulkeeper, The Wizard of Gore, Death, and Cremation, and many others.

On television, Christiane’s brother played Robert McEvoy in The Gardener’s Son. In one episode of Tales of the Unexpected, he also appeared as Hitchhiker, a suspected serial killer. In 1989, Brad portrayed Dr. Warren Overman in one episode of Murder, She Wrote.

Christiane’s brother has appeared in several other shows, including, Once Upon a Time, Criminal Minds, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Hunger, The Magnificent Seven, Escape to Witch Mountain, and Ponderosa, where she was featured as Maurice Deveraux.

Christiane’s brother is known for voicing Chucky in Child’s Play, a role he started doing in 1988 and is still active. Brad reprised his role in the show in 2021 as Chucky. Dourif has been in the acting industry for nearly five decades and is still involved, with more projects on the way.

Social Media

Given the low profile of Christiane Dourif Friedman, it is hard for such a person to be active on any social media platform. No social media accounts affiliated with Christiane have been found on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. On the other hand, his brother is on social media platforms but is not as active lately.

On Instagram, Christiane’s brother has over 18k followers, follows only three users with 12 posts, but has not posted anything since 2018. On Twitter, Brad has not tweeted since 2010.
